Accessibility statement

Our aim

The Android app and this website aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

The app

• TalkBack on every screen: labelled buttons, headings, and focus that goes where you expect.
• Spoken game events. The games speak every move, score and turn with their own voice, alongside TalkBack.
• Speech speed, from slow to ultra-fast: Settings, Sound and speech.
• English and Hindi for the app, and English or Hindi cricket commentary, chosen separately.
• Sounds and vibration tell you what just happened.
• Animations can be turned off: Settings, Display and accessibility. If Android's Remove animations setting is on, the games don't animate.
• Readable contrast on menus, forms and buttons, and large touch targets.

The games

• Get Away: every card says its full name and whether you can play it. Who played what, who picks up and whose turn it is are all spoken. Rules
• Seep: the Read Floor button speaks every loose card and every house with its value. Captures, houses and the score are spoken as they happen. Rules
• Ninety-Nine: each card button says what the total becomes, and warns you before a card that costs tokens. Rules
• Hand Cricket: each ball is said as the bowler's number, then the batter's; the board reads in a few stops (format, each side, last ball, this over, the chase). Rules

This website

• Headings, landmarks and a skip link on every page.
• Works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• No pop-ups, no carousels, no sound that plays by itself, no cookies.

Known limits

• The card tables of Get Away, Seep and Ninety-Nine keep their own colours. White text on their red buttons is below AA contrast for small text. A redesign is planned.
• Some celebrations (a six, a century) are visual. The commentary says the same thing, and animations can be turned off.
• Ninety-Nine in Hindi is still partly in Latin letters.
• Screen readers other than TalkBack aren't tested. If you use one, please tell us how it goes.
